Familia de equipos industriales diseñados para transmitir señales 485/422/232 a través de fibra óptica. Permiten sustituir un tramo de par trenzado por uno de fibra punto a punto o bien por un bus multidrop. Con este sistema se pueden superar las limitaciones de distancia que presenta el cobre e inmunizar la comunicación contra ruido electromagnético.
